The Portal presents a double release evening with Kimi Recor and Yasemin Vollmond.

Two albums, double deep listening at Atemporal Projects. 

This Portal event marks the release of Kimi Recor’s full length ambient album, applewater. Drawing on European folklore, drone and vocal looping, the album builds an atmosphere where the mythic and the sonic share one space. Recor performs selected pieces from the record live, joined by an intuitive ambient electronic PA.

Yasemin Vollmond performs auditorivm 001 in full. Developed through classical music theory, gong overtone composition, and research into listening and the nervous system, auditorivm is neither a sound bath nor a conventional concert, but a composed listening environment. Her album auditorivm 001 is performed through a constructed arc in which harmonic tension gradually resolves into openness and rest. 

Vollmond and Recor often collaborate as The Portal, a shared practice in live sonic performance. Together, the two sets honor what each artist has built on her own.

Yasemin Vollmond is a pianist, composer and producer based between Berlin and Anatolia. Classically trained and schooled in the gong, she composes with overtones and the nervous system in mind. Auditorivm is her solo performance format.

Kimi Recor is a Berlin based sonic artist and producer. Raised in a Bavarian forest, she builds worlds from drone, voice and the myths and folklore of the old world. applewater is her solo debut.
